Equipment
The most important piece of gear in any studio lies
right between the ears of the engineer.
You think you are shopping for a studio, but really you are shopping
for an engineer. Put Barry Bond's bat in someone else's hands
and the bat doesn't mean anything. Put Hendrix's guitar in someone
else's hands and the guitar means nothing. Put a brand new 24-bit
digital studio in the hands of some guitar-slingin' software jockey
that just got himself a new computer and...well...Buyer Beware. You
can hear my mixing chops on the Demo.

Here's our Microphones:

But for you gearheads:
-
Recorders: Roland VS-2480 and
VS 1680 recorders, featuring flying faders, 8 effects units
and 56-bit internal processing. Generally considered the
best "Digital Modular Workstation" on the market.
-
VocalGold Channel: Rode K2 Mic>Monster Best Cable>Grace
101 pre-amp>LA2A Compressor>VS2480 Track>Harmony Vox:
TC Helicon
-
BASS: Bass POD--We record 2 channels of bass. #1
is the direct signal routed through a BBE sonic maximizer. #2
is the amp model and effects of the acclaimed Bass POD. At
mix time we balance the two.
-
GUITARS: WE record guitars with Carlos Santana"s
beloved SM57s, then add a little "edge" with a RODE condenser. Roland's
uncanny amp simulations are also available.
-
DRUMS: Studio standard mics
at every position. If
you're really a gearhead you can figure what's what from the
picture of the mic cabinet.
